I view this forum as a place of peace. I think that would soon be lost if that silly sod came along. Ach, scottish excrement, you're right. Much nicer the four of having a quiet conversation here. And those lost moments are quite nice too; "Oh, look, Rip Van Winkle's found an old, but much loved, t...

Drink may be taken.........

Nice offer, Claysie, but regrettably unable to join you. We're going into the water two weeks before you, but will be setting off for Rathlin about the 12th, and, after a suitable sojourn there, sailing up past you to Dallens Bay, getting there around Tuesday 18th.

When are you going back south?

I don't know about you but I'm starting to get a bit tired of this.

NICK - is this a software or virus fault? I've clicked on these names and been connected through to the profiles of perfectly respectable new users, some peeps you know from YBW.

whit aboot thae ladies?

ony mair - whit aboot they ladies? Hmm. I'd better own up to being "accompanied" on this trip. I really played things badly after after last year's Cruise, lying my head off about what a sober and serious bunch I was sailing with. Told her you were all really nice people. Since then she's also met ...

If I'd known that I was going to sail round Ireland......

...... I'd have read (and carried a copy of) Nick's Circumnavigation account (above). I'd also have paid more more attention to Kevin Begley's excellent site at http://www.begleys.com/weather.htm . If you get a chance, have a look at the Irish Crusing Club's Sailing Directions for the West and South...

Frayed knot this weekend (entertaining) - last time we drove back to Stirling in weather like this, the road in Glen Ogle was washed away in front of us. Think we were the third vehicle to the landslip.

Mind you, that was summertime (2004).

Court and Social Circular

sailing is presumably not a good idea today. Another crappy weekend by the looks. Enjoy it. You meeting up at the Tigh an Truish? We're entertaining this weekend - had a few pints with Catmandoo in Dunblane last night, friends about to arrive for lunch today, and yottie friends round for a meal tom...

Postponing the liftout

We did the same - but the weather's been so bad I've not been out since. It must settle down sometime.

Re: Blue?

TCOTM ex Cobra25, Robin etc seem to get away with personal attacks ... Don't know why TACO winds you up so much - TACO, ex-Cobra, is a troll - the real thing and very successful. I suspect he's never sailed in his puff. Evidence: never quotes from his sailing experiences never talks about his boat ...
