Re: Drinks

My social life is so nonexistent that I am free every evening that week. Sorry, Shuggy, it was so nearly unanimous.

Re: Drinks

The Doric seems traditional ............ unless, of course someone has another idea? The Oban Inn or the Troosers is a wee bit out the way for southerners.

Re: Drinks

Don't the years fly by? May I suggest week commencing 10th December except the Friday to avoid the temptation to plank the bonus plonkers? Mind you, if you lot are going to witter on about bloody Rockall all night I'm not sure I will have the will to live.

Re: Oban Bay Safety Improvement starts 22nd Oct

Ok, I got the timings wrong but don't forget the 30 mimutes before k.o. requirement. Except Monday, a maximum of 5.5 hours on the mainland is possible if a Muileach wants to sleep in his/her own bed. There are those that might think 5.5 hours of Oban is excessive, I couldn't possibly comment - it ce...

Oban Bay Safety Improvement starts 22nd Oct

Calmac are reducing their Mull sailings from 12 to 4 times a day starting 22nd Oct. This should reduce conflict with leisure vessels which are mostly ashore anyway so the peace of the good burghers of Oban should not be broken so often with the 5 blasts that ferries seem obliged to give if they see ...

Sir, that comment is unworthy of you! I'm sure, if she had any idea who you were or your interest in her, she would be greatly relieved by your change of focus and would offer Ms Adler her deepest sympathies.

Re: Store No Way coastguard dalek

Having met, conversed, and taken drink with the voice of Stornoway radio I take grave exception to your attitudes towards such a charming young lady. I do have a photograph to remember our meeting but have no intention of publishing it to satisfy your appetites.

Re: Any news from the west?

I don't actually see the problem being the locals using the facilities. In fact I am very much in favour of them doing so. It is more the expectations of visiting yachts, raised by publications extolling the number of pontoon berths, that are affected and instead of a safe haven at the end of a day ...
