Trousers open?

Googling to find if TnT is open for food tonight, the url I found is http://www.tigh-an-truish.co.uk. Follow that and you end up at Nick's place https://www.webcraft.uk/ which has no information about the kitchen.

Connel Bridge reduced clearance

Work on Connel Bridge will reduce clearance to 13m for 6 months starting September. They ask you to give them a ring if your air draft is over 10m http://whamassoc.org.uk/news/connel-bridge-reduced-clearance-september-2019-to-february-2020

Re: Success in Tobermory

I've missed that. When was McGoochan's burnt down, what state is it in now, what's the prognosis? (With not getting on the water this year I'm losing touch.) OTOH since LOTI took over the Mishnish it's greatly improved. Late May. Last weekend it still looked much like it did after the fire. But the...

Success in Tobermory

I enjoyed a Lynne Truss (not Liz - I checked with Google; their similar names are a minefield for pedants across the land) moment in Tobermory. Walking past the posh, fairly new hotel, I noticed "Local Whiskey" chalked on an A board outside. So I smudged the e. Returning later from the Mac...

Re: AIS / RADAR

I'm another who carries the Calmac timetable to reduce surprises. Lochaline is one place I prefer not to share with Lochinvar when she's under way.

But breakdowns this year have meant several departures from the timetable recently. It's a challenge to keep up with those modifications.

Re: Avy-J

I concur. When we bought Blue Shift, I set up a spreadsheet to note jobs done and costs. When I looked at the running total after 6 months, I decided to stop in case Jane should see. With Dogdays, I keep a log of jobs done (at least, those I remember when I'm back home) but the cost is lost in my gr...

It's always worth going back to check that you didn't leave it in the pub.

Lochalsh pontoons

Does anyone know the current position?
A report iin TOP says they are back at last but Tripadvisor 3 days ago said they are still not working.
The community trust website also says 'closed'.
Anyone got a casting vote?

Re: Back to basics - Clearance under bridges

I feel sure that there must be one at SAMS, the marine lab at Dunstaffnage, but a quick Google didn't find it.
