15-20 Kg Anchor

Re: New moorings and pontoon in Ardminish Bay, Gigha

Does anyone know if they have left much room to anchor? As I understand it they have increased the number of mooring significantly. Have a deeper draft so presume I can't go inside the moorings so hoping I don't have to be too far out near the reef.

Re: North Ayrshire Moorings

just followed the link and am a bit confused by the following wording - "The moorings are free for visitors to use, however we would appreciate a small donation to go towards their maintenance - £5 for a day visit and £10 for an overnight stay. You’ll find Honesty Boxes ashore for cash donation...

Re: WHAM

Thanks Derek. After reading your response I went back in via my laptop which still showed the old version. I then pressed the refresh button and up came the updated version!

Don't know how to stop that happening though and how many other times it happens on other pages.

Re: WHAM

Just realised what is happening. When I go on via my tablet it shows the update but when I go on via my laptop it is still the old version. I take it that means they have still to update the windows version or a technical glitch has reverted the windows version back to previous version. Thanks for t...

WHAM

Went on the news section of WHAM a couple of days ago and it had just been updated last week. Been back on today to check out the details and it seems to have reverted to the previous update from February. Anyone any ideas as to why that would happen?

Re: Vancouvers

Yes plenty of space. Normally berthed at Kirkcudbright but ashore just now for the winter at Ardrossan. We were up the west coast last year for a while and anchored in the lagoon a few times. I take it that it was your Claymore on a mooring there?

Re: Vancouvers

Hi Claymore it is indeed a long time. Not been putting out fires for a while now. Boat shared a Benny 411 with a good friend for 4 years after the Vancouver. Now back to our own boat bought last winter in the Netherlands and sailed back home in May last year via the channel. Just a bit different fro...

Re: Vancouvers

Used to have a Vancouver 34 but sold it about 5/6 years ago. Never considered it slow, perhaps didn't have the top speed of some newer boats but over a longer passage I made some really good times. As you would expect it doesn't have the volume at either end of newer designs but had an excellent sal...
