Integrating new and new electronics.

last year I replaced my Autopilot with a new Raymarine jobbie, 'coz the old one was broken. Now the depth and log and GPS have packed up, hardly surprising as they are well out of warranty. The speed and depth had a repeaters outside. The GPS was inside and hard to see from the helm. So the task is ...

Isn't it always? I rely on manky bilge and diesel smell to get the galley slave revved up!

Re: All the best

A quiet night in for me and Stormy, best wishes to you all in 2018, and lets aim for a cracking CC18, even if it's a series of several 3 or 4 crew meet ups.

Re: On the Hunt for first Yacht.

I believe that Chiron, my old Centaur, may be available moored in Tarbert.

She hasn't been used much in the year since I sold her and looks pretty unloved from outside but that's no big deal.

Probably not marketed yet but the owner has moved away to a new venture.

Re: Leaving the boat near Mallaig

I was going to say Arisaig too.
Swinging moorings so cheaper, (I assume, not checked cheaper than Mallaig).
Railway within walking distance (on the same line as Mallaig). Quite pretty too.

I can't find any magenta markings on my 1979 charts, wine or ink.

May be some white wine...

Re: The End of an Error

Lets get this right.

You meet up for a drink, or not. And it's one persons round? What about the second and subsequent drinks?

Re: Camping Gaz

I think I paid £25 for my last 907, it's gone up over the last year or so.

The distributors are supposed to stick to the official price list to maintain the monopoly but my chap charges less to have more turnover.

I'm not going to say where he is because I don't want him to loose his franchise.

Re: How's your Summer going?

We have had a couple of good separate weeks but several weeks (5) trapped having work done. I seem to be having a series of 1 week cruises, not the extended periods of cruising I envisioned on retirement. I need to stop inviting folk and throw the calendar away. A couple of pluses though, I finally ...

Re: Mistral is sold

The WiFi in the pub was harder to get on than guest in the marina. I did try, and there is somat wrong with Claymore's tab, it didn't work when I tried it :) Midge free WiFi is available on the pontoon in front of the dingy rack, I found. There was a bloke called Tim complaining about the midges too.
