Re: The needs are drawing in

Nick,

when you get it, send it to me, and it's possible I might be able to help.
And next time I'm in the otter pool, I'll come over the hill thirsty!

Re: Tip For Running Cables In Tight Spaces

I once used a tape measure from which the end stop had fallen off. Drilled a hole in end and attached a hook. Found it goes round bends really well, until I had one that went two directions 90 degrees apart! It only went on 2 dimensions not three!

Re: The needs are drawing in

I have instruments (GPS and AIS) feeding into a box with a Bluetooth transmitter (home made). This squirts it out to any Bluetooth receiver device (which could include iPad if I had one). It's certainly available to an android pad, and a phone. There's likely some commercially available equivalent.

Hatched in the Doric

Nice to see some Bluemoment faces in the Doric last week, and amazing what can come from those conversations... From that evening the following plan has hatched... Round Rockall Rival Rally. The Rival is one of the early fibreglass boats from the 1970s, designed by Peter Brett. They are known for se...

Re: The needs are drawing in

I heard of someone with a liferaft, but its 6 man, valise and out of inspection!! (but you knew that already)

If you get desperate enough to buy a new windvane, I can recommend Seafeather as excellent value.

Re: The complex questions of life

Presumably those not wearing boxers wear briefs.
With briefs there three holes, one for each leg and one for the torso. Which hole do you use at the urinal? If using the leg hole, then surely there's no need to undo the belt and trouser waist band, and the fly (zip or buttons) is adequate?
