Re: How to get launched?

Surprised to see a Moody out sailing today. Obviously the 'remaining at home' message doesn't apply there.

Didn't even realise that his AIS was telling the world who the stupid f***** was  .

Re: How to get launched?

Well. Looks like there won't be any sailing in the immediate future. Any one want to hazard a guess? One month? Two?

Re: How to get launched?

Looks as if Tobermory Harbour has just announced that although it remains a port of refuge that it is not open to visiting vessels that are not commercial: fishing, ferries or workboats. Not sure of the position if you anchor off and go ashore in the dinghy, but guess you won't be made welcome. Dona...

Re: How to get launched?

I must admit I was in JWD yesterday to do some varnishing. As I don't have any mates at the best of times, I stuck rigidly to my usual stance of ignoring everyone equally. I can't see Aja getting launched, don't have that much to do and Neil is going to do the mooring next week, but realistically, w...

Response from James Watt Dock today "Good morning, Following several days of consultation we have today made the difficult decision to close the marina office to all of our customers, contractors and visitors. This measure will take effect from 5pm this afternoon and will be in place until such...

Re: Scottish Series 2020

I've thought for a number of years it needs a break and come back refreshed. Maybe a blessing.

Re: Apropos of not very much

John It's terribly sad when these things happen. Sheena's advice is to enjoy the company of friends and family when they're here. Make time to see them often, as once they're gone it's too late. It's heartening to read what others have written as it seems that you are not alone. I always find this t...

Looked a bit of a drift. We walked into Gourock and were keeping up with you for a while!

Great day for getting all the cushions and stuff off the boat at JWD and tucked away for the winter.

Re: Success in Tobermory

There's no longer a pool table in the Kames, let alone a proper bar. The Kames has positioned itself as a restaurant with bar, leaving the drinking to be done in either the Shinty Bar or the Tighnabruaich Hotel.

The Royal Hotel's Shinty Bar has been the traditional howf for the Shinty.

I've got two 50w flexible solar panels. Been on the boat for, I think, five years. Got them from Photonic Universe who still have a good reputation.

Kyles shinty men always drink in the Shinty Bar. The kids may go to the Kames.
