Re: Autopilot fix or replace, who to go to?

Mah wee boatie has Autohelm instruments, even older that ST50’s...

The autopilot is similar vintage. It all still works so will be left as is - until it dies..

Then it will be a Raymarine set up, eye wateringly expensive as that will be..I’m near greetin’ at the prospect.

Re: That's It - The Refit Is Finished

Good one!

Sorry I missed you the other day - I got the message just as I was clearing the marina.

PS, if you heard the Benny Hill theme tune that morning it was coming from my boat as I tried hoisting the main for the first time without checking the reefing lines....

Re: Snow

Was snowing like a good ‘un when I left Copenhagen yesterday and it’s a fine, strong easterly blowing so expect some more white stuff soon..

Think I’ll be leaving the winter tyres on the car awhile yet..

Re: Integrating new and new electronics.

On last 2 boaties I fitted wireless Tactik wind /depth and log. That worked well for me but new owner of previous boat has had a few issues with the wind instrument which I believe is now fixed. Current boatie came with mix of Autohelm ST50 log / Depth /wind and an ST60 repeater which I suspect was ...

Re: Integrating old and new electronics

Interesting!

I’m trying to work up to connecting my ancient Autohelm ST50 instruments , newer ST60 repeater and autopilot to the Es7 plotter... I reckoned all I’d need would be the Seatalk converter and an NG1..

Oh, and patience, bad language and a soldering iron.
