Re: 'Mistral' has a new navigator

Well done Joan :) :) You will now have to stop Ash putting the sails up as trying to catch the best wind upsets all your passage planning. See there has been method in my reluctance to use the sails as may end up in the Port instead on Rothesay. To make you jealous I had a turn round the Clyde today...

Sad news from Kip Marina

Very sad news from Kip. David Duffield the smiling face in the chandlers for more years than I remember, collapsed and died on Monday lunchtime. David was at work on Monday morning as usual.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him customers and colleagues. My thoughts are with his family.

Re: Mistral returns to Kip

Would not worry over much with the polishing. From 100 mtrs you can never tell if a boat is polished or not. My theory and sticking with it.

Marina must also be having trouble maneuvering her as she is still sitting on the transit trailer this afternoon.

Glad to see Mistral made it to Kip safe and sound. Look forward to seeing you at some of the KCC musters.

We are currently looking at what tricky berth we can allocate you to test your berthing skills!!!!!

Re: Sailing the Forth

As a Clyde sailor, yes the sails have been up a few times and got the photos to prove it! One season did put my first boat in Port Edgar, she was a trailer sailor. Seemed a great idea just a short journey down the road from Falkirk, so hey could go out some evenings as well. Think done that once and...

Re: Sub aground off Kyleakin & wishful thinking

Proof once again that the most useless thing you can have on a yacht is a naval officer. :) :)

Following this grounding it is reported the sub limped back to Faslane for repairs, thank goodness no one dropped a depth charge on her.
