Re: Spinnaker up!

I'm flattered that you ask me about uploading an image- I'm probably the most technically incompetent user of any forum. I did use Boatofukkit but they seem to want a lot of money nowadays so I've baled out. Brought the little boat of Coniston today and up to Ardfern on Friday to put Claymore to bed...

Re: Phone GPS in Car

I use my phone as a satnav because it links to the traffic and offers alternative quieter routes - I don't see how it differs from the tomtom device in that you are receiving instruction/directions so cannot see it being illegal. I have a clippy thing that slots into the heater vent thingy and so it...

Re: The complex questions of life

I've long believed that the people who undo the lot just to have a pee are the product of over cautious parenting. Put simply, Mummy was avoiding having to wash Y fronts and Troosers that had been dripped on by careless boys. I now believe that the swagger and clearly over enthusiastic way in which ...

Re: An easier "where is it"

You need a better filing system for your pictures, Donald.
That is so obviously Waterhead. Up on the right is the ridge between Kentmere and Troutbeck with High Street up at the top, then Friswick, Ill Bell and Yoke in the foreground.
Honestly - I shouldn't have to be pointing this out....

My fat fingers are often spelin things wrong - 'suspects' is correct. Bonfire night used to offer a few opportunities - tying penny bangers together and throwing them at next door's dog was a favourite of mine. We never did get to like each other...

Re: Secateurs

Invaluable when approaching a French Port. Just brandish them aggressively shouting 'Secateurs - mes amis - j'aime Charlie 'ebdo' - The Harbour Master will direct you to the prime berth and les Douaniers will keep their distance.
Who knows - they may even prove useful in a Brexit argument
