Re: Maw Broon 'racist'

The local rehoming kennels informed me that on the animal care courses these days it is no longer acceptable to say black or yellow labradors - it should be a dark coloured or a light coloured labrador.
Hmmm - the world has gone barking mad!!!

Sorry to hear of your accident. I hope you and Muzzy are both not too badly injured.
A hell of a finish to a mighty fine weekend.

All the best

Jill

It includes saturday night accomodation but not sure about the ferry fares.

See http://www.banffstavangeryachtrace.org.uk for more info. They also mention doing a course at Banff later this year - would be closer for me - (unless it was Banff in Canada of course!!)

Cumbrae water sports centre are charging £205 for the 2 day course - quite expensive, but what price to save your life etc.

I have just put my name down as crew so I guess I will have to do the course.

Banff to Stavanger yacht race 2008

Noticed on the website for the race this year that there is a requirement for ISAF offshore personal survival training certificate to be undertaken by at least 30% of crew including the skipper. Good idea or just more beurocracy? Has anyone done the course?
